History:  This cemetery is believed to have been associated with the First Baptist Church of Bath.  Its location is noted on the 1874 Summit County Atlas.  When the Hammond Corners burial ground was eventually vacated, it is believed that at least five bodies were removed to Bath Center Cemetery.  Bath Township records name the individuals listed in the accompanying cemetery records as having been moved to Bath Center from Hammond Corners.
